Guest Picks: 17-11

Monthly Picks: 110-80
Yearly Picks: 532-449

Here are today's picks:

Dodgers (Hill) vs Indians (Tomlin)

Josh Tomlin is still struggling two months into the season. Now he is facing a team in the Dodgers that are one of the hottest teams in baseball. The Dodgers are going the sweep in Cleveland and I think they will get it. Rich Hill will pitch well (as long as he doesn’t get blisters) in leading the Dodgers to the win.

Pick: Dodgers

Mariners (Miranda) vs Twins (Berrios)

Ariel Miranda is pitching well for the Mariners as of late, but Jose Berrios has been on fire for the Twins since he got called up from the minors. The Mariners are 4-2 against the Twins in the last couple of weeks, but after today they will be 4-3. I like Berrios and the Twins to get the win today and get a split of this four game set.

Pick: Twins

Orioles (Tillman) vs White Sox (Holmberg)

Chris Tillman got a win in his first start of the season against the White Sox. He hasn’t gotten a win since. Now he is facing…. The White Sox. I think he will get back on track today against Chicago and will get his second win of the season. Too bad he can’t face the White Sox every start.

Pick: Orioles

Red Sox (Sale) vs Phillies (Pivetta)

Sale vs the Phillies? Lock it up!

Pick: Red Sox

Nationals (Gonzalez) vs Mets (Gsellman)

Robert Gsellman pitched well in his last start for the Mets. Still need to see more from him before I can pick him on a consistent basis. Gio Gonzalez has been having that consistency I have been looking for. Even though I was once again wrong on the Nationals yesterday I am still going to ride with them today.

Pick: Nationals

Rays (Cobb) vs Tigers (Verlander)

Justin Verlander is a microcosm of the Tigers season so far. You expected so much more coming into the year and have been underwhelmed so far, but occasionally you see flashes of brilliance. Today will be more of the same. You will see some good stuff from Verlander, but not enough to get the win. I like the Rays in this one.

Pick: Rays

Brewers (Davies) vs Cardinals (Wacha)

Milwaukee keeps finding ways to win games. They beat their N.L Central foe once again yesterday, and are continuing to lead the division. Now they hand the ball to Zach Davies, who is 7-3 despite only having three quality starts this season. That is because his offense usually carries him to victories. Today will be no different.

Pick: Brewers

Giants (Moore) vs Rockies (Hoffman)

At this point there is no one on the Giants I trust. Now they face the Rockies, who are probably my favorite non-Mariner team to watch right now. They are tough as nails and always seem to find ways to win. Today will be no different.

Pick: Rockies

Yankees (Montgomery) vs Athletics (Gray)

I can’t remember the last time I picked against the Yankees. Today will be no different. I like the offense to continue rolling against sonny Gray and for them to power the Yankees to victory.

Pick: Yankees

Royals (Strahm) vs Angels (Nolasco)

Matt Strahm is making his first major league start today against the Angels. He has made several appearance coming out of the bullpen, so he has faced Major League hitters before. That being said, I still think the Angels get to him today and the Royals offense does not have enough fire power to come back.

Pick: Angels
